18 months ago my whole world got turned upside down . . . I peed on a stick and found out I was pregnant! Not a shock as we were trying, but it didn’t stop me from looking at that stick continuously for the rest of the week in shock expecting the lines to have disappeared. They didn't!

During my pregnancy I really wanted to meet up with other soon to be mommies for a coffee and a chat about everything that was happening to us. I put an advert in a magazine and met two absolutely fantastic girls.

After the arrival of Emmeline, my daughter, a whole new world opened up to me. Things that I had never even thought of before suddenly became really important to me. Where could I find a good priced high chair, which metro's had lifts, what could me and my little one do during the week to pass the time, where was my local baby shop, where was the closest park to the flat???? I started to look on the internet and found some of the information, but in several various places. It was too much hard work, I wanted everything to be in one place!

I also started to meet up with lots of other mommies, and we started to do things together every week, different activities here and there. Once again however, finding out the information involved looking in various internet sites or several emails back and forth.

And so I decided to develop Barcelona Babies. My aim is to have one central location where we can find all the information that we need about/for our babies. I have collated a lot of information from other sites that I hope will be useful to all of you.

I think this may always be a site that is growing. If you know of a baby shop in your area that is not featured here, or a restaurant that is baby friendly, or an activity/event that would be great for our little ones, a course or anything at all you would like to see here or you think would be useful to other mommies, please contact me here and I will be sure to add it!
